Classes and Workshops

Saturday, April 20th

Empowering Qi/Energy for Strength & Healing

This workshop will provide attendees with methods for building their own qi or energy. Native Americans refer to it as “Big Medicine.”  When our essence is strong, we are less apt to succumb to illness.  We build vitality, clear thinking, and resilience.   This energy can be utilized to heal ourselves and/or others.  The workshop will be of particular benefit to all those in the healing arts:  massage therapists, acupuncturists, Reiki workers, etc.  Yoga practitioners can learn to find balance and grounding.  Our time together will focus on:

  • Building Qi through a simple, yet powerful Standing Meditation
  • A 10-Stance Hieratic Series to harvest specific energies
  • Hand sensitivity exercises
  • A selection of Qigong moving forms that can be incorporated into a home practice

Cost is $40/$35 if pre-registered before April 7th

LOCATION:  Awakenings Wellness Center from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m.

We cannot help but be surrounded by toxins in today’s world.  What can we do about it? Many answers are not necessarily practical (i.e. moving into a cave).                                      One answer:  build your vital energy, your immunity with a regular Qigong practice.

Saturday, April 27th
